Material Specification

Poroseal
meets the following U.S.A. specifications:
Mill. Spec : A 8625, type ll – P514C – P514D
Fed. Std. : P455B, type ll, and all standards or specifications similar to the above mentioned.

Resistance
O.U.V. test according to ASTM G53 (weather)
Excellent U.V. resistance for the colours:
Copycolour No. PC6 – PC 45 – PC79 – PC202 – PC44 – MG
(After 500 Hours : No discolouring. Estimated equivalent to 20 years outdoor exposure).
Less U.V. resistance for the colours:
Copycolour No. PC975 + PC407.
(After 250 Hours : Slight discolouring)

Abrasion
Taser Abraser according to ASTM 4060-84, Wheels CS17.
1 Kg. load, wheels grounded after each 500 rotations on grinding disc S-11.
After 1000 rotations: wear off 7.5 mg. (10 times better than a good epoxy coating).
After 3000 rotations: wear off 15.5 mg. (a decrease of the anodised layer of only 7.7%).

Saltspray
According to ASTM B117 – 85
duration 1000 Hours.
NO AFFECTION

Solvent immersion:
The image cannot be affected by any solvent.

Heat Resistance
6 Hours exposed to 150 Deg. C. followed by 2 Hours at 250 Deg.C.
No change of colour.
Poroseal is manufactured to ISO 9000.
